I brought in two pairs of boots to be resoled, one pair of Timberlands and the other a pair of Roots classic Chukka boots. The soles were worn thin after years of wear, but the leather uppers were still in great shape. It was a big job.
Ahmad did a great job and had them ready for me earlier than promised.
He used quality materials, and the finishing on the stitching and shaping was perfect.
His many years of experience as a shoe cobbler showed in how he rebuilt the soles. I will get many more years of wear out of these boots.
I'll definitely return with other footwear that needs attention.

Long story short: this place was fantastic and I'd recommend them to other folks. Great service, quick turnaround time, and they made my boots look like new. I'd recommend having a photo of what you would like done if it's dramatic (see story below). I'll be bringing my designer stuff to this place from now on.

Long story long:
I want to leave a positive review for this place because most of the time people will only review a business if they had a negative experience and this place went above my expectations.

I originally had my AMI jodhpur boots re-soled at a different shoe cobbler. I wanted the other cobbler to replace the crepe rubber soles with new ones and instead they put on thick, hard vibram soles. The original crepe soles were really flexible and, with the soft leather, the boots felt like wearing slippers. The other shoe cobbler put on hard rubber soles looked ugly, didn't flex, and the other cobbler got glue stains in the suede. These boots were around $700 when I bought them, so it was disheartening to say the least.

I stopped wearing the jodhpurs because they no longer felt anywhere nearly as comfortable and started wearing my other boots/shoes instead, which is probably why my Alexander Wang Kaleb boots (the patent leather boots in the photos) started to break down. The glue holding the upper leather and the sole broke down significantly one day. I decided to bite the bullet and try a cobbler again to fix both boots.
I brought both pairs to st. Albert shoe re-nu because I figured if they've been in the community for so long they must be doing something right. I showed the employee both boots, explained the problems I had with the new soles on the jodhpurs. I also showed him a photo of how they look originally, as they originally had a heel made of rubber crepe and the previous cobbler didn't do anything like that. I left both pairs with the employee and he said they'd be ready in a week.
Fast forward, I went to pick up my boots and was stunned with how nice they look now. The guy replicated the original crepe rubber sole (and heel!) with soles he made himself out of multiple layers of crepe rubber. He cleaned the suede and the glue stain from the previous cobbler is nowhere to be found too.

The Kalebs boots he not only fixed but I think he polished and cleaned the patent leather because there's no way they looked this good when I brought them in.

I know the hesitancy of taking a risk on some item you've loved getting repaired and I'm extremely happy that I went here. Not only will I get many more years of use out of these boots but I'll love wearing them during that time too.

He did an incredible job repairing my sons cowboy boots!!! They were separating up the back and he fixed the damages beautifully. The fix was done in a couple hours and he was priced very reasonably! The boots look better than brand new now that he fixed and signed them up for us. I am super happy with everything and his customer service was fantastic as well!! I will definitely be back and recommend him to anyone looking!
Thank you again you do awesome work!

Brought a pair of tall English riding boots to have some pretty extensive work done. They were ready for the garbage but due to not being able to find a replacement I figured let’s give it a try. They exceeded my expectations . Ahmed was amazing to deal with and the boots look as good as new.

I brought my favourite work boots in that were falling apart at the seams. The gentlemen running this shop fixed em up, replaced the soles and now the boots are as great as they were brand new. Top notch same-day service from an excellent craftsmen. Have already recommended this spot to a few of my buddies.

The first picture is what the boots looked like when I brought them in and the other two are the end results. The shop owner sent me these photos when the work was complete.

When you have a high quality pair of shoes that need to be retired because of the mileage you’ve put on them, DON’T. Take them in and have a craftsman here bring them back to life. My husband’s favourite dress shoes are now better when first purchased! We have had minor items over the years taken care of and now see the value in preserving quality items. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS.
