Ordered a part as per the correct mechanic specs. When it came in it was discovered that they actually ordered the wrong part. I took it back for refund, and was told I would have to pay a re-stocking fee. That error is on Ajax for not ordering the correct item is it not? Why does the customer have to pay a fee? Poor showing, guys. Will never order there again.

Every time I walk into this I get immediate and great service. If its not on the shelf they will get as soon as possible. The quality of service is also matched with the quality of the product. Giving this store and its staff a poor review because of its return policy is pretty ignorant.

Terrible attitude. I tried to exchange a fitting for the correct size that was purchased about 20 days before. I was told no returns without receipt. It took me some time to find my receipt then attempted to exchange the fitting. Now I was told no returns over 30 days. I tried to explain but the rude sales person would not budge. I want people to know how impersonal the employees at Ajax can be. I have made more than a hundred purchases at there store. I will not choose to shop elsewhere. I guess when you have a good business you forget it the customers that make or break it. Please pass this on because I dont think treating customers poorly is the right thing to do. They deserve 0 stars for this one. Thank you Trevor Howard

I purchased a trailer adapter from Ajax a few days ago and received helpful service and was told if there were any issues or it didn’t work for any reason I could return it within 30 days. I left feeling good about my purchase; however, when the electrician told me it was not the right part and I tried to return it, the manager, Trevor Huddle, informed me that I was unable to return it and was told any electronics are non-refundable. This is the opposite of what I was told when I purchased it. He suggested that I report it to the Better Business Bureau as they “don’t need to inform us of return policies that are across the board”. When I asked why I wasn’t informed that, he simply said that “everyone here knows that” and that he can’t confirm that promise was ever made by the staff. Really disappointed with the customer service and the pointing fingers despite the lack of communication on the return policy. Make a sign, inform at the cash teller, print it on receipts are all suggestion I made to the manager and he laughed and said that was not needed. You tried to lie and say it was an all across the board policy and didn’t take action. New management is needed if they can’t handle situations like this and blame customers instead.

This place is exactly what you want when looking for steal material or tools. The staff are very knowledgable and always willing to give you their time. It reminds me if watching old movies of mom and pop shops before big box stores took over. I always enjoy going on there and I wish I never have as much business to that big box stores as I did. I highly recommend shopping here.
