I'm guessing that the chickens, that IGA purchased this week were dipped in gold.
Last week the chicken thighs were $18 for a package, are now they are $30 for the same thing. = 70% increases in one week?

This does not seem like a wise investment, Even if you are going to pick it up in your $100,000 F350 grocery getter.?

IGA must have given their employees a huge raise, because they're making all this extra $$$
I wish my pay check went up 70% over night.

So today my mom and her service dog were REMOVED from this store and the store is claiming they do NOT have to allow a LEGALLY RECONGIZED SERVICE ANIMAL WITH HIS VEST ON in the store. I'm sorry but Service animals are FEDERALLY PROTECTED under FEDERAL LAW and it's a FELONY OFFENCE to REFUSE access to these animals and their handlers. I would like the store manager to be aware, that I'll be contacting head office for IGA as this is unacceptable behavior from the store and it's employees. And I'll be going a step further by contacting the North Island Gazette in regards to this.

For a fairly remote, small town grocery store, I'm really happy with the selection they have for people who have food sensitivities. I can easily find gluten free, and dairy free items. Pretty good selection of veggies and your normal grocery store items. Customer service is wonderful. ?

This store is expensive and the only option. They are always out of stock on something you like or you need. They don't have a good selection of gluten free food, and what they have is often out of stock. They are often out of advertised sale items before the sale even starts. The staff is a mix of friendly individuals but slow at the check out, or cranky and quick. We head down island every chance we get to avoid this place.
