I cannot recommend this company enough; and have so to my family and friends. I dealt with Dana through email while placing several orders for Helikon-Tex products. (Likely purchased 75% of the line but that is for another 5 star review.) Dana was extremely pleasant in her responses and provided detailed explanations on product and delivery times. If you want the feeling you are buying high end products from a friend, look no further. Keep in mind this is a specialty shop, and if you are on duty or retired but looking for that familiar gear to use in the bush, this is the place to shop.

I haven't even received my product yet (Helikon-Tex Woodsman Anorak), but I can tell you that ordering from On Duty Equipment has been one of the best customer experiences of my life

I order a US-medium, but then tried on one of my friend's anoraks and realized I'd prefer the US-large. So, I called up On Duty's customer service line and left a message explaining the situation and that if my order hadn't been processed yet, if they could please change the shipped size

Dana in customer service called me back to say that it had already left the warehouse, but that an exchange would be no problem and that she'd even set aside a US-large for me. No problem, I thought, I'll just ship the medium back and get the large. But about 30min later, Dana called me back again to say that she'd intercepted the delivery guy (Roger) on the way out the door and made the exchange of sizes right then and there, saving me both time and money!

If I like the anorak half as much as I like On Duty Equipment's customer service, it'll be the best coat I've ever owned

11/10 - highly recommended!

Edit: Received my order almost exactly 72 hours after I first spoke to Dana. These people are amazing!

You have to realize that the commodities here are very specialized, not something you get from sports check or sporting life on daily basis, but more military or tactical purposed. I received a discount due to the delay of shipment, and the owner kept me aware of the status regarding my order and tried to accommodate as much as he can to fit my schedule. I ordered a helicon Tex fleece jacket, incredibly and unexpectedly warm, superb quality.

Just received Helikon Tex pilgrim anorak. Was impressed to hear from the owner of the firm. My ordered was delayed due to circumstances beyond their control. Roger kept me in the loop and the item arrived today. I have a lot of outdoor gear and wasn't sure about what I was getting as it did't cost enough.the anorak is a very good quality garment,very good qormanahip at a very reasonable price. There must be something else I need! Many Thanks Roger.

I will never order from this store again. The worst customer service. They sent me a defective item and told me I would have to pay the shipping to send the item back. The shipping cost would have been about $15, and they would not cover this for the defective item they sent me. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Came across these guys at the Toronto outdoor adventure show and am I ever glad I did. They sell top of the line gear for great prices and were super knowledgable on what they sold, I will definitely be keeping tabs on there online store!
