Une visite aujourd'hui à la Sapinière depuis longtemps. Des gens avec des grands projets. Quel désastre. Pourquoi la municipalité tolère cette infrastructure ?

"Since the late 1990s, we have loved the city of Val-David because of its unique personality and natural beauty within the Laurentides. It is not a Mont-Tremblant Tourist Mecca nor a St-Sauveur Shopping Mega-Mall, and it has been largely thanks to the efforts of its residents and the city's administration that Val-David has been able to retain its historical small village atmosphere - an atmosphere and feel that sadly is now missing from many other laurentides communities.

We came here for winter sports, and it was only after our great neighbor, who has since passed on, said to us: "You guys are a bit strange...Most people come here for spring and summer, and you come here for skiing and snowshoeing?" After that, she got us hooked on Val-David's four seasons; including, the beautiful hikes and rides in its parks, and kayaking in the lake nearby.

While we are diligent at making sure to write reviews of poor service, this review is actually about unexpectadly great service and follow-thru by the municipality's small but efficient public works department.

We were at a good friend's wedding in Quebec City when the recent flooding/storms/winds happened in our community, and while we had a great time at the wedding - we returned to the reality of major storm damage on our street, our driveway's sinkhole and our new tool shed on the floor. As we always do, we started working on each damaged area individually, and were pleasantly surprised and inspired by the great follow-thru work of the city's public services department.

Just to be clear, we are not related; nor getting compensated or are friends with any of the folks or their families in the public works department - we simply wanted to thank the city administration, and the city's public works department including: Katherine, Marc, and Francois - for their real follow-thru in helping us to start getting back to a post-storm normal and hopefully finally get some time to look at the 1000's of wedding photos our friends shared with us.

My experience is slow as follows :

- first NO WELCOME GREETNGS or BIENVENUE SALUTATION 🪴🌷
- calling no one answer except all kinds of informations & leave my tel. and *yes someone ANSWER ME back quickly ✅
- website is not very easy to use unsure which one to click to see my municipality payments
- if out of town or out of country can’t pay municipality tax on line
