Quality of service has gone down over the years. They punctured the fabric of my expensive Massimo Dutti technical jacket (see photo) to attach their yellow tag. The holes from the attachment gun have torn the fabric and treads in a way that is irreparable and noticeable. They also dry cleaned my Banana Republic wool pants and ruined the hem. Instead of offering to fix the hem, they folded the pants over the hanger, so I wouldn't see the messed-up hem until I need to wear them again. Sad and this location so expensive. 🙁

Very unhappy with the service and lack of care of my wedding dress. I dropped my dress off for dry cleaning and to have the hanger straps reattached. Shortly after leaving, I received a phone call from Newtex informing me that the tailor did not know where to attach the hanger straps and asked me to come back and show them. I arranged with them when I would be back and when I arrived, the tailor had gone home early. The gentleman working said he “had no idea what he was doing” and that he would pin the straps to my gown. I personally pinned the hanger straps to my gown.

When I returned weeks later to pick up my dress, I was informed that it was not ready and had been “sitting in the back” for the past 4+ weeks. I should have taken the dress with me and gone somewhere else. Instead, I returned a few weeks later after receiving a voicemail that my dress was done. When I picked it up, the silk chiffon bodice had a small tear in it, right in the middle of the chest, incredibly noticeably. I made the employee aware that this had happened, even though I know that this type of fabric cannot be fixed. My silk chiffon gown is covered in pieces of glitter. This leads me to believe that, rather than care being taken with my gown, it was with a dress with embellishments, which would easily catch and snag the delicate fabric. The hanger straps had also not been attached, something I was not made aware of prior to picking up. I am devastated by the lack of care given to my gown and it resulting in this irreparable damage.

I’ve been using this dry cleaning service for a while now, and they never disappoint. My clothes always come back fresh, perfectly pressed, and looking brand new. My son's jacket had a nasty tear on the back collar that looked irreparable. I took it to the Kitchener location, where they examined it and had their tailor, Abdul, (who works at their Columbia Street location, ) assess the damage. He said he could do the repair!
When I picked it up, I was astounded at his workmanship. I am 100% satisfied! Thank you, Abdul! You are amazing!

I have been using Newtex at multiple locations for many years now. They have done exactly what they say they would every time. Today, they went over and above. I picked up my cleaning today and they cleaned some pants that I wore on a recent vacation. They found something I missed before I took the pants in…..and gave it back to me. I had purchased my wedding dress second hand. It had not be cleaned yet, which made me a little nervous it would still looked stained from the previous person. I took it to Michelle and her team, they got it all cleaned up and looking brand new! Once it was cleaned I met with their tailor, Janet. She was welcoming and easy to work with. When something didn't feel exactly right she had no problem making the adjustments. It was a very comfortable experience, I would definitely recommend!
