2024: Alannah has stepped up to the healm and really cleaned up house. Nice greetings and service that doesn't look displeased when my partner and I come to shop. We don't get dirty looks when using a status card we don't get dirty. Looks when using the membership that was paid for. It's really night and day. They changed for the better

2023: Took me a while to write this out as I couldn't believe what was happening. I'm concerned about what management is doing about this because it seems to be rather widespread. There seems to be some bias against certain customers. I had to get my partners receipt fixed after multiple occasions after they were checked out by a certain teller. If your First Nations or of color and shopping here check your receipts, make sure, if you're buying on sale items particularly, that your paying appropriately; Amount cut and price charged. If not check your receipt and see who checked you out, I have had this happen most frequently after Linda checked out my partner. Hopefully this review will serve enough to get someone's actions into check. We also had the staff try to discourage getting a fabricland membership card if your use a status card, watched this one happen in person I believe this was also Linda, and lastly they had a hiring sign on the door, my partner tries to apply, they were told that fabricland couldn't do anything for them and that at first wouldn't accept the resume. But before my partner could leave the door, they requested to take the resume even though they had already stated that they wouldn't hire them without having done any interview.

To this day I believe that they still have a hiring sign on their door. They're looking for part-time, but apparently, and from what I've heard it comes with the details of you must always be on call and always available unconditionally.

Some of the staff are helpful and others aren't, I find myself having to watch my receipt closely to make sure everything is put in correctly as I was overcharged at least three times in the last year on different visits.. it's really unfortunate because I used to love going here but now it just leaves a sour feeling.. I don't enjoy it anymore.

They had a lot of different patterns to choose from but some of the staff was no very helpful and the prices were a bit high. When I asked for help from the one staff member she made me feel as though I was a bother. I even went back to the same Staff member to ask another question and she just kept talking to her friend or co worker. I waited patiently for a while but she never acknowledged me so I ended up leaving the store without a purchase.

Excellent location with a good selection of craft, dress, upholstery, drapery, outdoor, and general fabrics. Great selection of notions and ribbons as well.

The staff is extremely helpful.

They are mainly elderly women who work there unsurprisingly but they are extremely friendly. They take the restrictions seriously there. Make sure you're prepared to follow the directions or you won't be permitted in.
Great service and great deals right now. Limits on some products though. Such as elastic straps for using on face coverings. 20m per person.

I need a large quantity of material and after looking online, I decided I better go to North Bay and get some help because I know nothing about fabric and this is going to cost me a lot. The reviews said the staff were helpful but after spending 20-30 minutes there, I couldn't find any help at all. I was considering standing in the cut line to see if someone there could help me but they seemed very busy and the line wasn't moving so I left. What a waste of time. Lots of material options though and the lady unlocking and locking the door was friendly.

Extremely disappointed in the North Bay service. Sudbury store ordered a specific bolt of fabric including ALL THE INFORMATION.....The District Manager was supposed to bring it to the Sudbury Store on Monday Oct 17th....She brought 2 bolts of the wrong colour and now the Sudbury store is stuck with the fabric Sudbury already had on their shelves....Service sucks big time from the North Bay Store....It doesn't take a rocket scientist to "read the order" and "follow thru"....NOW let's tell how amazing Marguerite is from THE SUDBURY STORE.....Marguerite felt as disappointed as I was and literally bent over backwards to make someone else's error perfect.....Marguerite found a bold of fabric that had just arrived in Sudbury and we worked it out....I can sure tell you if you want amazing customer service go to THE SUDBURY FABRICLAND....Thank you Marguerite for everything you did. YOU were such an angel!!!!!!!
