Normal place with big parking, electronic appointment confirmation, own Tim Hortons cafeteria and small charging bay near the entrance. Don't know about the rest, I saw only this on my way that day with my "blood collection" case. Fast process, fast professional collection. Pleasant in conversation people.

A week after emergency appendix surgery my husband was still not feeling well, so we went to Cobequid to get him checked out. Everyone from triage, to the RN Elaine and Dr Louis Martin were amazing. We ended up having to return to the QE2 for further treatment, but everything to that point was friendly, fast and with empathy. We couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thanks again! He’s on the mend now!

Another 4th-class emergency hospital. This is the second time I’ve been to this awful place. Sorry for my French, but I must say this is another one of the worst hospitals after the Halifax Infirmary Emergency Hospital.

I am 8 weeks pregnant, had cramps, and passed large tissue, so I rushed to this dreadful hospital at 7:30 a.m. I wasn’t registered until 9:25 a.m. From then until 5:30 p.m., I was waiting for my turn. In the meantime, a careless receptionist or nurse came and said they were now over capacity and would not be able to serve any more patients.

I had to go home without any diagnosis. Health care in Nova Scotia is a total scam with severe shortages of doctors. It’s time to establish some privatized hospitals so that people can get basic treatment by paying for it if needed. Today, I miscarried because of their negligence.

Waited for 10hrs for a sprain in the leg. Reshed to emergency hospital right away and no acknowledge. After 6hrs we got to a hospital room and was done a xray in 5 mins and no doctor nurse or anyone came to even see for 3hrs and only to give a prescription for antibiotics and send home. Very bad experience. Hate the health care in Canada. Emergency meaning itself isn't unsetdood by doctors and nurses. Rather have died in emergency than be met with a doctor after 10hrs only to be examined for 20 seconds.

I was admitted to Cobequid emergency on July 6
I had fallen while hiking g the Tayler Head Coastal trail and after a long and arduous hike out and a two hour drive we arrived at the emergency department and the paramedics provided the best care possible. Right from triage to exrays and diagnosis of a "dinner fork" break of my wrist. I will be forever grateful that they were there when I needed them

July 15th at approximately 610 pm I had blood work. It was the most painful experience I ever had. My arm is bruised in two different places and keeps spreading. I wish I could upload a picture. I could tell it was going to be painful by the way I was greeted, not given a choice of which arm and when she got her gloves on she snapped them and stared right at me! She’s in the wrong profession. Chair #5

Subject: Feedback Regarding Our Recent Visit

Dear Cobequid Community Centre Team,

I am writing to share some feedback regarding our recent visit to your urgent care facility on April 7th.

My husband, who is 68 years old, has been experiencing severe headaches for the past three weeks following a hard fall on his back and head. We visited the Centre, hoping he could be properly assessed, with the expectation of receiving a CT scan for peace of mind.

We arrived at 12:30 PM and were finally called by a nurse at around 7:30 PM for an initial assessment and blood test. We were then placed in a room to wait for the doctor. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us or provide any updates for the next several hours. By 11:00 PM, we were still waiting without having seen a doctor.

At this point, we had not eaten lunch or dinner, and both of us were experiencing strong headaches, likely due to hunger. I also suffer from sciatica, which became quite painful after sitting for so long, and as a diabetic, I missed my scheduled medication. We felt extremely unwell and forgotten.

When we approached a nurse to inquire about the delay, she casually mentioned that they were short-staffed and the doctor had signed the paperwork for us to be seen, but she could not give a timeframe. Unfortunately, her demeanor appeared dismissive, and she offered no reassurance, update, or basic care such as water, snacks, or pain relief.

While we understand that staffing shortages and high demand can place a strain on your team, we couldn't help but notice that some staff members at the desk appeared unoccupied and engaged in personal conversations. It would have made a world of difference if someone had simply checked in on us during those long hours to make sure we were doing alright.

It feels as though the common response of being “short-staffed” has become a blanket excuse, while the more important element... genuine human care... has been lost. What we experienced was not only a long wait, but also a sense of being overlooked and uncared for, which was deeply disappointing. We hope this can be addressed moving forward, as kindness and communication are just as vital as medical care, especially for seniors and those already feeling vulnerable.

We appreciate all that your staff do and recognize the challenges of the healthcare environment today. We simply hope this feedback encourages reflection and improvement in patient experience, particularly in communication and compassion.

Hello my name is Michael and I’m with my partner who’s sitting next to me at this hospital in Sackville ns. A hysterical woman came in screaming that her partner had copd and was unconscious in her car - this went on until I realized no one in this hospital would lift a finger to help. I carried this man into the hospital through the emerge door and asked where to lay him down. To which they said 
 you picked him up
. 🙃 the qe2 is bad for wait times but these nurses are negligent and factually pathetic excuses for employees in this field. For anyone actually. I’m embarrassed for them
