As a nigerian sure you can get what you're used or what you know to back home from this store, however it comes at a cost which being worth it is relative. If you don't have the money there are many alternatives to what we know backhome that can be found in Walmart and other stores like Mayfair mall amongst others. That's my take. Noodles, beans, rice, semo are all available in Walmart, real Canadian superstore and Mayfair.

I LOOOOOVE THIS PLACE! THE PRICES FOR HAIR IS INCREDIBLE! THE OWNER IS ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL. I HOGHLY RECOMEND GOING THERE. ALSO, THEY SELL FANTA ORANGE IN THE BIG GLASS BOTTLES. ITS THE KIND THAT SELLS IN AFRICA SO IT TASTES DIFFERENT FROM OUR FANTA. ITS WAY BETTER THOUGH.

I got this (expensive) tuber of yam from the store and was really looking forward to dinner. I got home and that was the state of the yam in the picture.
I called the following day to see how they could make up for such a massive flaw and they flat out said there is no refund/compensation of any kind smh. Mexican house of spice would never do such to customers, I was just trying to patronize but I know better now

I'm surprised to so so many good reviews when my experience there was far from being good. I went there on a quiet Saturday afternoon to buy some ingredients for a Senegales oxtail stew.

When I first stepped in, the place wreaked with a sour smell (coming from the black rotting plantain on the floor). Half the item I bought had no price tags. Once at the counter, I was flabbergasted to see $50 on the cash register - for four items...

When I asked for what was worth so much money, the guy at the registry mentioned that the manioc was worth $20 - you can get one for $3.99 at the Fairway Market across the street.

When I removed the manioc from my groceries, the guy muttered a snarky comment. Overall, I had a bad experience and would prefer to pay double the price for 'exotic items' on the internet rather than going back there. I

t's a shame because I was proud of having this unique establishment in my neighbourhood before going there.

Only game in town. The store is VERY small, which makes it congested. I'm happy for them, though. Need a larger variety of crochet hair. Straight and kinky crochet hair selections would be great. The owner was very attentive, nice, and kind. Nice neighborhood. Color 44, please.

Why can’t you put the prices on your goods? I’ve bought there few things a few times, their reciepts don’t show how much they’re and the money I paid was more than what I was told. I don’t know if this is scamming or stealing from people. Putting prices on your goods doesn’t hurt, it gives us an idea of how much we will pay.
Also, please give good customer care and reduce being on the phone. Just because you are the only one on this island doesn’t mean you have to give a bad service to your customers. From now on me and a few friends of mine have decided to be going to shop from Vancouver instead.
