I recently took the Basic Alterations Workshop at Main Fabrics and it was a great experience. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and made the learning process easy and enjoyable. I learned a lot and picked up valuable skills that I can immediately put into practice. The workshop was fun, engaging, and well-organized. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to improve their sewing and alteration skills.

This is a great place to learn how to use sewing machine and make your own outfit and other accessories out of sewing, brilliant place to go wherein you get all the materials and most especially patterns of clothes from children to adult, simple and easy to follow. The owners are very kind, helpful, accommodating, provides details and knowledgeable. Some of their materials most especially fabrics comes from Europe and very reasonable price. Join me and check it out, I will be enrolling myself in the fall to learn to use the sewing machine. See you there!

I just attended an Alterations class on Sunday, and it was fantastic! Nakita was as helpful as usual, and I learned so much. I love the "studio feel' of the new location, and it was a wonderful experience overall. I highly recommend their classes. This is my third, and it won't be my last!

This is a wonderful, warm, generous gem of a place to learn sewing while meeting other like minded people. The instructors are great teachers and generous in sharing their knowledge. I love that Nakita and MF care deeply about quality and the ecological impact of the fabrics and notions they source. I feel lucky to have MF so close!

We had an amazing private sewing workshop for a birthday celebration! It was such a unique and memorable experience! The session was personalized, engaging, and so much fun for the whole family (adults and kids). I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a creative and special way to celebrate or learn something new. Nakita and her team are fantastic!

I bought my first sewing machine about a month ago, and looked for a local garment making community, but couldn't find one. But, in my search I found that Main Fabric was opening soon. So, I waited impatiently for a month, and became a member as soon as they opened. They taught me how to set up and use their professional Pfaff machines, which I stop in and use several times a week in their studio. I just finished the garment making class, and now using the free pattern they provided to make a purse for my spouse, who also became a member (after seeing how excited I am when I'm there). Soon I'm going to make some shirts for myself and our three little ones. Also, it' worth mentioning that Nakita and Karalee are so sweet and generous with their time when I ask questions, which makes a newbie like me feel more comfortable when I just drop in and start sewing last minute. I definitely recommend getting a membership and just enjoying the learning experience and all that the studio has to offer, and making some new creative friends, too!

It's been a decade since I touched my sewing machine. I was strolling around in downtown Dundas and came across this shop. Super cute and really pretty fabrics. The owners inspired me to get back into sewing, so I bought two beautiful pieces of fabric to make table runners. They showed me how to get back into sewing easy and less daunting. Very encouraging and knowledgeable.
