As another reviewer said, they have beverages with best before dates from 2024 still on the shelf. I’ve noticed the bottled chaga tea under what appears to be a house brand (Great Canadian) has no date on it at all. Hadn’t been there for many years because I found moldy product on the shelves. This takes the cake, though. 5 years out of date, and the employees couldn’t explain how they determine the age of the flavour extracts in the dispensers. I know those aren’t the most perishable products, but still. Doesn’t give me confidence, as a shopper.

Their shop is always brimming with stock. The variety of esoteric things is amazing, e.g. European preserved materials. All of this stock is neatly arranged.

As well for Diabetics, they have a lot of sugar free candies and such. I have not seen a larger display anywhere in town. So, when we diabetics support them, I find they are always experimental and try new products.

They have a very large display of flavoured syrups. I have only six different flavours at home, but can't resist picking up a new flavour when I visit the Bulk Zone. There are quite a number of sugar free syrups too.

Then there are the central aisles filled with goodies. The bins are clean and obviously restocked frequently. Fresh bulk foods!!

If you are a chocoholic, there is a dream aisle for you. There are chocolates of all sorts and again there are European chocolates too.

People with Nordic blood in them will love the large displays of Finnish, etc., preserves, flat breads, and condiments. There are just too many things to mention here.

You owe it to yourself to drop by!! Super friendly staff.

Sad that I had to come down to post a review as I used to come here all the time for bulk items, but I'm exhausted. In July I had made a purchase of bulk candy for my dad who is a local race car driver here in Thunder Bay. Shopping was fine, until it came time to purchase. The lady working at the till had rang every item through and it all came to $56.55 no problem I took out my card and paid. As I went to grab my items the lady at the counter told me that my payment had not gone through; what I found was oddly weird as I had gotten a email stating that the money had been taken out. I had them checked my bank and sure enough the money had been taken out. They told me in a couple days the purchase would be refunded and if not to contact the store. Needless to say I walked out down money and without my purchase.
Management and I have been in contact for countless weeks what then turn out to my money being refunded in 5 days, on the 5th day nothing so I called back what then turned out to be 10 days, 10 days have gone by and still no money..

They had told me that this has happened before so you think with a continuous problem it might be time to change the debit terminals?
Very disappointed, as now this is fraud.
Almost $60!?

I'm extremely tired of the phone tag and just want my money back.
I will definitely not be returning as a customer.

Great store with a lot of different products from around the world. Also have a large selection of sugar free candies!

Excellent selection of bulk candy, spices and everything else you can imagine. Different ethnic sections which have great selections of different items that might not be found anywhere else. I found the special cherries for my "old fashioned" drink beverages and also found some Lifesaver Butterscotch candies for the kids

I bought 3 drinks from the uk that were expensive but I love British food. They had a Maltese Mars bar and Milky Way drink. Anyway when I went to drink them it tasted funny so I checked the date and they were expired from Aug 2024 bought them in dec very disappointed. That’s way too long to have a dairy drinks out of date.

It’s perfect if you need to buy a lot of candies or a big amount of pops, coffee and etc

Normally enjoy my shopping here, however, made a special trip on Seniors Day to get my purchase and discount, was not offered it, and I was not aware of a sign that said I had to ask for it.
After getting home and reviewing my receipt, I noticed I did not have the discount.
After calling 5 times within an hour, the phone was finally answered. I was told if I didn’t ask for it, I would not be offered it. I was also told if I went back, I would not be able to get it refunded.
I find this unacceptable and very poor customer service.
Seniors are finding it difficult to manage financially these days, don’t make it harder!!
