A very meaningful place, they turn vegetables that cannot be sold into dried and dehydrated vegetable packages and send them free of charge to countries in need of food around the world. If you want to do something, this is the place to come.

We were incredibly impressed by how quickly our phone call was returned when we inquired about volunteering. Very inclusive environment. We felt welcomed, valued and we can't wait to volunteer again next week. Tenting and RV spots available for volunteers on-site.

Okanagan Gleaners work to Feed The Hungry In Christ’s Name.
One means by which they secure volunteer labour is the provision of a very, nice full service RV Park.
Staying at the Park is by advance booking only. You then work at whatever is required (this varies by time of year and need) for approximately 4 hours each day (usually 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM).
Each well leveled, gravel site has water, sewer and either 30 or 50 amp power.
There is also a washroom, shower and laundry facility. There are no cleaning staff so users are asked to keep the facilities cleaned.
The Park is walking distance to many services. All other necessary services are only a short drive into Oliver.

This is an amazing organization that more people should be aware of. The preparation and sourcing foods to use. A wonderful well run society. Spent the Monday washing drying pans then cutting potatoes with about 20 other volunteers

Absolutely love this place. Helping and working together with many people you never met before. Cutting up veggies to dehydrate them to make dry soup mixes to go to places were food is needed.
