My mom today August/7/202/ just came from the Okanagan College to pay her student fee $$$. She was waiting in line with 4 other students. A White blond lady at student services discriminated her and didnt want to attend her. This racist lady said she was too busy and sent my mom to a different department. Of course the other department noticed the decriminalization and racism and told the head director about this incident. It is this white ladies job to charge the students and it is her job, no other department has the machine to charge other than student services. People like this should be fired from the education system. Im going in tomorrow to get this lady's name and file a complaint.

I was going to do adult upgrading here but will now be going a different route as it’s impossible to get a call/email back and I have questions about my application. Even when I went to do the skills assessment I eventually left without doing it because every staff that I asked for directions from had different answers

It’s great that OC offers upgrading classes but the website to add your classes is beyond confusing, and the ladies in the registration office are supposedly too busy to even answer simple questions. They desperately need to update their registration website and hire more staff that can help.

If I could give this school 0 stars, I would. This is, by far, the worst educational institution Ive ever experienced. Complete nightmare and highly do not recommend.

Not only are they 3 weeks behind in replying to emails, when I do get through to someone in registration, the people that do try to help me all have different stories. Zero clarity at all. Zero communication skills. They absolutely do not care about students at all. (Oh, and Im just trying to pay them.)

I am lost and am now switching schools as a result.

The International Student Department might as well be disbanded entirely since Canada isn’t admitting many college international students anymore. It would save costs and avoid hiring incompetent staff. My classes were dropped due to issues with the school’s internet, Heather Thomson, a course advisor, questioned me aggressively, saying, ‘Shouldn’t you have fully registered for your classes by now?’ Of course, I know it’s not the registration period—it’s the school’s Wi-Fi issue that caused my classes to be dropped. How is that my fault?

She even accused me of having 41 pages of registration history and insinuated that I was trying to sabotage the system. Honestly, if I had the skills to hack the university’s system, I wouldn’t be studying here—I’d be at Stanford pursuing computer science. If a single student can crash the registration system, maybe the entire college should just shut down. Her defamation and unprofessional attitude show how poorly this institution handles issues
