My husband and I frequented Tomme before, during, and after my pregnancy. We loved finding a bit of joy in our day with a snack you cant find anywhere else. Postpartum is hard. We would come to brighten our days. Something has changed the past year or so at this shop. For sure, they are a successful business, as they should, you can tell a lot of work has gone into it. As time goes on, I find a more "uppity" feeling unfortunately settling in. Today I was told by staff that I could not get the portion of cheese I always buy, of the cheese we always purchase, and when I asked if it was new, who i assume is the owner proceeded to tell me "it has always been that way." Which, well, no it hasn't. and my points in your system show that in my past purchases. And if I was wrong, thats OK, however the juvenile tone we received of "dont you know better" was quite strange. I have heard from some of the FB Guelph Mom groups they experienced this, but always went on with my day and continued as a customer, until today. We have also been emailing their general email address on inquiries for events and stag and does which could have landed large event business for the rest of our year, but when the common courtesy to even reply is not met, well, theres that natural uppity attitude that has people staying away from cheese shops in the first place. Its a real shame, the one girl that is always working weekends is amazing, and always served us what we asked for. Business must be booming! To turn so much away.

Staff are always knowledgeable and very friendly. The selection of cheeses is amazing! Finally made it for a grilled cheese and soup lunch today and it was everything I could have asked for. Was hesitant to try the bacon marmalade but it was yummy.
Bonus points as their packaging is biodegradable.

Not impressed with the service. I know a bit about cheese and the older lady tried to keep suggesting grocery store cheese (at a higher price) instead of the interesting types. The older male caught that I was not being fooled and took over the sale. I bought one thing then went to the other place in town.
