Prices are reasonable so I shop here, but I got some major issues with this Freshco:
1. Inconsistency of stock, especially with produce. You can never bank on them having what you need.
2. Meat - honestly a 50/50 chance you buy the freshco branded meat, it’s rotten, 3+days before expiry date. Have stopped buying it all-together.
3. The way they group the food types. It’s sorted and grouped by ethnicity as opposed to just putting all types of food together. So this results in beans being in 3 different areas of the store, makes it so difficult to find what you need. I love the variety of brands, just put all different brands of the same food types together.
4. You have to have a quarter on your to get a cart, and in 2025 I never have change and always forget a quarter. Wouldn’t be an issue if they had baskets but they don’t.

All in all I dislike that this has to be my go-to store for the reasons I stated, but they have the most reasonable prices.

The WORST service. 3 different employee couldn’t answer a question I had about scene points/coupons. The most senior employee with grey curly hair kept asking the 2 employees I was talking to if they were OK right in front of me despite them saying yes multiple times () totally being a bully. I was trying to buy Nestle Drumsticks and was asking if coupons come off before or after tax. I ended up leaving without a purchase and 100% won’t be back - returning to Loblaws.. You do get what you pay for.

They lock up thier carts which take a quarter. I had a basket found near the cash and also had a couple of plants from outside. Asked cashier to change a loonie so I could get a quarter for a cart. He could not make change as it's against company policy unless you purchase something. I wanted the quarter so I could get a cart and make other purchases but I guess they don't want my business. No problem I won't be returning. I'll stay in Tottenham or Bradford in the future.

I just had to leave FreshCo in Alliston because nobody on cash was able to make change so I had a quarter for the cart. I usually buy between 150 and $250 worth of groceries a week. I will not waste my time coming to this terrible grocery store anymore. If you can’t Make change for the carts, don’t make us pay for them. Also, the produce is often rotten and is of much lower quality than any other grocery store in the area. This store is generally quite disgusting. Get your act together if you plan to keep any of your customers

I was walking through diary products area and searching my item, suddenly I fall on the floor and realised that there was white colour liquid could be curd or cream.
I hit my elbow and bend on the floor. Hard to walk because of limp waist, still informed to staff so that other people will not go through this.
Your staff is not trained for health and safety.
I told him that I fall on the floor he suddenly ran to the counter.
You should trained what to do in this type of situation. Anyway, I used spray at home but if I get that time it would be great because that would be an instant action on my injury.
Whomsoever doing grocery there make sure you watch the floor all time because if something big happened staff doesn’t show sense of urgency or any concer.

Rude store manager, which is probably why his staff are so rude as well.
I called yesterday to bring attention to a matter which happened to a family member of mine.
He did apologize for what happened, which was great.
I did emphasize for him to speak to his front end staff as they basically told my family to leave the store after paying, saying "just go".
If you are going to check grocery bags, we ask that you check everybody's and not pick and choose who you decide to check.
My family member felt singled out as the people ahead of him were not asked to have their bags checked.
Apparently there are signs at the front entrance. I suggest they be posted at each cash as well.
Also, you don't tell customers just leave, just leave, his valid point was that the people ahead were not asked, so why are you asking him.
Anyways the store manager had the nerve to tell me I'm wasting his times that he is busy.
I just hung up the phone because clearly customers are not his priority.
Pathetic
Good thing I don't shop there and never will

I would like to add that the most part freshco in alliston is good. But today I was totally disgusted by the prices on Velveeta slice cheese. I was in last week and bought it for $ 4.99 but today it was almost $12.00. I'm on disability and we shouldn't have to put up with such greediness from a grocery store.

They Treated my family like criminals. They said they had to inspect all of my unused reusable bags. They said it’s the new policy. I contacted corporate and they said they absolutely cannot search our bags.
