I live in rural New Brunswick and purchased my U-Dig 40 a little over one year ago. Purchase and delivery was incredibly easy and seamless. Since receiving my U-Dig 40 I have, among other things, used it to clear brush land, remove stumps (with the help of the available ripping tooth) and convert a marshy area on my property into a pond. I experienced two instances which required warranty repairs. One required a weld and John (the company owner) authorized it to be done locally at his expense. For the other repair the required part was couriered to me at no cost to me. To summarize, I couldn't be happier with my U-Dig 40 and the interactions I have had with company owner John Wiebe. I continue to get great service from my U-Dig 40 and am being tempted to order the optional hydraulic stabilizers. That new U-Dig 33 also looks very interesting! I've added a couple of photos of my machine at work on the pond. I was able to access very wet ground without getting stuck. For info purposes I've added a couple of photos of how my machine looked when it was delivered. Some assembly required but easily managed by myself and one helper.

My U dig 40 is a piece of Junk. Boom broke and a bunch of welds have broken. On the outriggers as well as the boom. Have had 2 cylinders go on it now doing way lighter work the the pictures others have posted it. Contacted the company and no one got back to me. Do not buy!!

I purchased a U-Dig 32 and I am so pleased with it’s performance. I have been able to remove all the stumps in my yard and fix my ditch. The machine has exceeded my expectations. The customer service that was provided by the company was wonderful. I could not have asked for a better company to deal with. It was a great customer experience. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family. PS I have named my machine “Doug”.

We recently purchased the U-Dig 40, plus many of the attachments. The ordering process was straight forward, and U-Dig was accommodating when we asked for off-road tires to be mounted on our unit since we operate in rough terrain. They even offered a Veteran's discount, which is always appreciated. Upon arrival it took two of us about 2 hours to assemble the unit. There were no assembly instructions, but the U-Dig site has a video that walks you though the steps, very easy to follow. Once we had the unit operating, we ran into difficulties with the engine - it was lacking power, running erratically and often stalling out when we tried to operate the unit. U-Dig was very quick to respond to our email inquiries, and phone calls, and authorized us to take the unit to a local service centre for repairs. However, before we got a chance to do this, U-Dig contacted us and said they would send a technician to our location to effect the repairs. A U-Dig tech drove 6 hours (on Saturday), replaced the engine on our unit (about 2-hours), then drove 6 hours home. With the new engine our U-Dig 40 performed flawlessly, running well, with power to spare. We completed a couple of projects with it before it was stored for the winter, including digging up a couple of dead trees and using the grapple to move a brush pile. Thus far we have been pleased with the purchase and have been satisfied with U-Dig's customer service, first-rate. We are looking forward to getting on with more projects in the spring. Without question the addition of the U-Dig 40 to our equipment we are going to advance our projects much faster. They stood behind their product, responded to our emails and phone calls very quickly and made sure that the solution to our issue did not inconvenience us. All in all, a solid Canadian company we will be happy to continue to do business with. Many thanks to the team at U-Dig!!

John operates his business with integrity. I bought my original U-Dig 40 last Nov but did not get to use it until this spring at which time I discovered that it leaks hydraulic oil, a lot of oil, out of the tank vents. After a couple of phone conversations with John, without result, he asked me to bring it back so he could try to diagnose the problem. Well that is 14 hours of driving ,times 2, for me. At this point John said bring it back and I'll replace it with a new machine. John put the hydraulic stabilizer arms on the new machine at no cost to me for my troubles. It is a pleasure doing business with John. The new machine works great, with no issues. If you are considering buying a U-Dig machine those hydraulic stabilize arms are well worth the extra money. Much more time efficient and comfortable to operate.

I am completely satisfied with my U-dig-40 excavator. My brother use to run a large excavator and he said this was an extremely easy machine to operate and is high quality and powerful. The customer service from U-dig was above and beyond and would highly recommend them to others.

This machine is fantastic. I operate a land development company in Nova Scotia and we are required to dig test pits (perc tests) for septic design. There have been no issues getting to the required assessment depths with the U-40, in fact its probably overkill for what I needed, I just wanted the extra power for my own fun. Thanks John and the team, I was not disappointed, great to see strong Canadian steel and welds.
