I was in last week, Thursday, to pick up some hot water heater insulation.
The man that was working downstairs was sitting playing on his phone(no he was not talking to a customer)and did point me in the right direction. Then he called out, no to the left a couple of times. He finally came to help me, there was one roll there with no price on it, I asked him how much it was a foot and he said it wasn’t priced yet and wouldn’t go look it up. I feel maybe if he was working and not playing on his phone it may have been priced?
Really bad customer service for a hardware store in a small town.
Management needs to be more aware of what employees are doing? This is not the first time I have been in the store and encountered employees on their phones.

I've been in several times, and each time was very rewarding. The staff is friendly, and more importantly AVAILABLE to help you find what you need. A great "national" store with a small town vibe.

A very rude man works here. When was shopping here for plumbing parts for my cabin I came in with no shoes on. As I was shopping an employee walked by me and instructed me to put some shoes on in a rude tone and did not even say excuse me or please. I told him i would be glad to but he would have to ask me in a polite fashion. He told me to f*** off then commanded me to leave the store but not before he forcefully ripped what I was buying from my hands and physically pushed me.

I suspect the rest of the staff are polite and kind but be warned about the shorter, hefty, grey, balding angry man that does not know how to use kind words

New to the area and have used the store many times while doing renovations. Great service, especially from the lumber yard. Prices close to the Big box places in the larger, nearby cities but much cheaper delivery fees. Helpful, friendly staff throughout the store. I'm glad to have them close at hand.

Excellent service! You know, even if you are only buying something that costs a couple of bucks, they spend time with you and help you find what you need, and even help you with whatever problem you are trying to solve. Service this good makes you happy to come back again and again.

Ordered ridgcap a week before, said order would come in next week, called on Tues to see if it was in. Put in hold, transferred said if he called back, no callback. Called 2 days later same thing, no callback. Looks like after 2+ weeks they didn't even place the order. Pretty bad service for a commercial client.
