One good thing is that they do sewing machine repair. They give you a quote for the costs of the repair or service. If the quote isn't right, they will call you first before doing the work. This is how they do things here! This store is a one of a kind fabric store. They deal with fabrics that haven't been used but were from previous owners. They have scraps of fabric in bins for purchase. They have sewing classes, too!

My husband bought me a sewing machine for Christmas as I wanted to try out the hobby. I was having issues with the machine and after watching several videos I decided to call a sewing store to ask if I could bring it in for help. I called the green thimble and brought it in, and the lady there took a look at it for no cost. She tried out a few things and was not having much luck with it either, and checked to see what kind of refurbished machines she had that were comparable. She had one that she was selling at a great price and held it for me for a couple days while I thought about it. I came back and purchased it and I’m very happy with it! It also came with six months repair warranty, limited time 10% off accessories, and a 1-on-1 session to learn about the machine! I’m so glad I found this store and looking forward to being a regular customer!

I'm surprised there's not more reviews! This place is amazing, I got my sewing machine here, taken a tote bag class, and bought basically ALL of my supplies from here. They geniounly have so much stuff, the friendliest staff with great advice, and an extremely knowledgeable and patient technician!

Due to unfortunate geography, I’ve only had the pleasure of shopping online at the Green Thimble. They’ve always been very responsive to questions while shopping, really quick getting my items from the shelf into repurposed boxes and then to my mailbox. They have great prices on their previously-owned fabrics too. I’ve even spoken to a technician over the phone and they’ve been able to explain problems with my machine and offer possible solutions, and they’ve worked every time. Their plans to promote sewing and textile arts while cutting down on waste and pollution are admirable. Absolutely recommend.

Absolutely gem of a store! I was in just before close, and they had the 2 parts I needed for my new-to-me machine! I was up an running later that same evening! Found beautiful small bits of fabric, which are perfect for my patch quilt. I will definitely be returning!

My Husqvarna sewing machine was sounding loud and laboured and the thread cutter was not working properly. I took it to Bizz at The Green Thimble. She fixed the thread cutter and got the machine running much more smoothly and quietly. The stitches even look straighter and more even. Bizz had earlier fixed the needle threader which hadn't worked for several months. I think she is a sewing machine wizard. I highly recommend The Green Thimble. While you are there, check out the selection of recirculated (new) fabrics.

I absolutely love the recirculated fabrics, thread, and tools available here; and this shop did a fantastic job servicing my BERNINA machine. Highly recommend!
