I bought a pair of ski boots here. The lady that helped was very nice. She told us that we get free boot adjustments. When I went to get them adjusted, the guy informed me that they will only adjust boots for 1 season for free. I was never informed about this when I bought the boots. Every other shop I’ve been to have a lifetime fitting guarantee. For the price you spend here it is very disappointing that this is the level of service they provide.

We stopped in for some local recommendations during our biking trip and staff were very nice and helpful. After that experience, I took my bike in for a brake bleed and not only was it very reasonably priced, Lars talked me through an impromptu suspension tune. Very helpful place, really made our trip and my riding better!

No matter what I am looking for, the team at Guide’s Hut always deliver. Their expert knowledge led to my buying Kastle ski boots (which are such a high quality boot) and they spent so much time with me to mold the liner and the Super Feet footbeds. For skis, I nerd out on ski reviews but that doesn’t really help me decide. They have a selection of high end demos like Black Crows and Stocklis, and after trying skis and speaking to Kenny about his product testing and personal ski quiver experience, I chose the Black Crows Serpo as an all rounder for Fernie’s varied terrain. I am so happy with the combination and the after sales service is excellent.

Told them what I wanted to use my mountain bike for and they provided a suggestion. I use it for what I stated, and it constantly needs repairs, and there's no warranty. When asked, I was told it's not really intended for that... repeat repairs not covered, and overall, a terrible experience. Repaired the bike elsewhere and will sell it if I can get anything for it... purchased a bike from another shop in town and haven't had a single issue. Will NOT be going back and will be warning anyone looking for a bike shop.

Jay operates an outstanding curated ski store for the serious and particular skier. Whilst he took a lot of my money (which I gave with a smile on my face) he and Matt, Kenny, Lucy, Leanna, James and Chantelle all managed to solve puzzles with me and help me enjoy the 4 weeks in town. After years it feels like my boot issues are over because Matt had the smart Idea to size down, but go MV and my skiing improved, felt faster and stronger by rocking a 130 Lange race boot which is seriously protective of the foot and leg and way stiffer than I’d have chosen but they are like wearing Porsche Cayennes on my feet. Fabulous range of softgoods, the crème de la crème of the brands for those who invest in their gear and expect to get 100’s of days of warm wear and a warranty. The very best “serious skier’s boutique” in Fernie with terrific, quirky, genuine people. You should go there to spend your money too.

Guides hut went above and beyond when mounting touring bindings on my daughters’ skis. Not only were they super friendly and completed it in a timely manor, they surpassed my expectations by making sure my daughter had skins, and even fit them to her skis! Very impressed!
