I'm disappointed with their tech's visit.
1). They took some time to get back to us, when they did they set up a time that was far in the future. Then a day or so before they were supposed to be here they changed the date but not after we had made arrangements in staff and so on in anticipation of not using the machine. Then, unannounced, at even different day they showed up. Worse, a day that I wasn't here. 2). Because I wasn't here I couldn't explain the problems directly to the technician, although I did to the rep, and they only fix part of the issues and left in two hours when there was much more that could have been done, but charged us for 3 hours of travel.
I feel that, for the most part, we wasted our time and money!
CANTEK is not a reliable company and we will replace our tooling as soon as we get the chance.

12/31/23 - CHANGING MY REVIEW!!!

Few hours after I posted the above review in Dec of 2023 I got a call from Brent Akhurst, the Service Manager. He was apologetic and quite helpful with his insights. He offered to remedy the situation and help us get the machine back to tip top shape. We have worked a plan and I feel that they will do all as they said they will.

As a owner of a custom manufacturing business I can testify that seldom things go exactly as planned, however, it’s not about executing exactly as planned that is most important to me (because you can always count with Murphy’s Law to be at work) but what you do when they don’t. How you treat your clients and what you do to make up. Akhurst has shown so far that they do.

Awesome company to deal with. High quality equipment and outstanding customer service. The tech Brent sent to do set up and training was super knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure my new Cantek 37" widebelt sander was optimised for the daily use of my students, while understanding safety was paramount! Thanks so much for getting this machine in, and running, in time for my students to finish their Christmas gifts for their families. Darnell was great to deal with today, calm and laid back, very professional, fast responsive communications and knows his stuff.

This company is the worst company ever for customer service. They don’t care and give a S…. to you. They are rude. I would give them 10 red stars for the review. I will never ever call them for anything.

Pretty hard to buy equipment when the sales team refuses to call customers back. 2 voicemails left during working hours and never a return.
