This is one of the most expensive grocery stores I've ever shopped at. Usually buying a quick dinner at a grocery store is the affordable option. Not only that, the deli start and cashier seemed like they wanted nothing to do with anything. Would not go back.

BOYCOTT FRESON BROTHERS! Price gouging greedy corporation

April 2024 Update: Still the most expensive for 100km radius. The owners of this franchise are gouging local residents. I have been doing regular price comparisons with No Frills and Walmart in Olds and this store. The prices in Freson Bros. Sundre are almost twice that in Olds. I feel for the folks who are unable to drive to Olds and have no choice but to shop here. They have lowered the potato salad by $5.00 but are still $4.50 more than Olds. Bread, cheese, eggs, milk are all overpriced. I would give a negative q0 stars to this store if I could. Absolutely disgusted with their price gouging strategy.

This market is an oversized convenience store with convenience store prices. It is not remotely competitive for today's markets.

August Update: Price comparison on potatoe salad exact same brand and size; Walmart $5.47/each. No Frills $7.49, Freson Bros $13.99 with egg or without are the same price. (See photos)

This is only one example of many I could come up with. How can Freson Brothers justify such a large difference? Sure we had to drive 25 minutes to Olds to get the better price, but we still purchased more with our limited budget and still saved money (including costs for gas).

This store does not seem to care much about the higher prices in the community they serve as it is a monopoly market.

We have stopped shopping in your store for the most part and drive to Olds for 99% of our grocery needs. I believe in supporting local businesses but its just not economical to shop in this store.

For all the other Google reviewers out there who are posting 5 stars, I honestly can't see how they say everything is awesome and price comparable because it really isn't. I have performed many product comparisons and they are still significantly higher.

I do however agree the staff are wonderful and try their very best to provide quality Customer service.

Hi, just visited your store in Sundre to order a Fresh sandwich to go. You had pretty well no product in the display but your lady did offer to make me a Fresh one! I ordered an Egg Salad on Sourdough, she informed me only on White or Wholewheat available? Too my left you had you had over 30' of Sour dough products? Seriously show off your bread that you bake in house (many grocery stores Do Not Offer), this is an opportunity for you? Anyway she made an egg Salad that looked absolutely pitiful, barely any filling of egg & priced @ $7.95 - poor value!
I left the product and took my business elsewhere. This was at 11:45 a.m. We shop this store about 6 months of the year, normally great service with pretty good food value.

Nice little store, the staff is very friendly, store is clean and well organized. Excellent produce section prices of some items, though, are extremely high and a bit unreasonable. I just moved back here from Red Deer. Therefore, I have an extremely good understanding of how much certain items that, i regularly purchase cost. I feel as though this store is monopolizing on certain items. I think that is unfair to the people in this town who dont have transportation to go out of town to purchase their groceries.

Conveniently located right on main street. As in today's world the prices are a bit high but they have some wonderful sales on especially fruit which we were really worried that we would not have access to after we moved from the Okanagan BC. Also love the various mother dough breads that they have hudge loaves of at 2 for $10 every so often.
