I have been taking my sewing machines here for at least 35 years. It used to be a man that did the repairs, but he passed away and now his daughter does the repairs. They are timely in getting the repairs done. The only delay has been when something rare is broken in my machines and they have to get the parts from outside of Calgary, Canada, or even the country.

I have two 50+ year old Elna sewing machines that I have serviced here regularly. They go above and beyond to get any needed parts. Once they even had to go through Elna Switzerland to get a part, as it was not available from Elna Canada. It took a little longer to get the repair in that case, but normally they have your machine back to you in a week or less.

I have always had excellent service and no problems taking my machine back if it still doesn't work the way it should and they will quickly take care of the problem, usually over night and no extra charge. When you drop off your machine, they are clear about costs and how long it will take. There are no surprises. Yes, they're prices have gone up over the years, but whose haven't. Let's be reasonable here, everything is getting more expensive, so it shouldn't be unexpected.

What is expected is the excellent service that I have had over the years. Keep up the good work International Sewing Machines.

This place is top notch! I left my card with Wally, letting him know what machine I was looking for used. He called me the next week. He even set it up with the servo motor I asked for on it. While I was in store, I saw several Hutterites bringing Thier machines in for repairs. You Know your at the best value store if you spot them.

Took my machine in for a minor repair and was first told the part that snapped wasn't broken, then told it was $120 minimum just to look at it. I told them I'd figure it out myself. I mentioned that their business hours were wrong on Google, she just said "I know". Asked if they cared about their customers also knowing, she claimed it's impossible to adjust business hours on Google. I'd much prefer supporting a local business but they don't seem interested.

I'm a new owner to an older inherited sewing machine, so wasn't sure what to do when my needle kept getting stuck. Dropped it off with International Sewing Machines and a week later it's working! Just needed some lubricant and re-alignment. When I asked if this is something I need to be bringing it in regularly for upkeep, I was told no, only if it isn't working like it should. I received friendly service, an accurate timeline for fixing my machine and would bring my machine back here again if needed.

Horrible and rude customer service from the lady on the phone.
I’ve also dealt with her husband and not her when I bought the iron shoe. Asked to speak to her husband and she wouldn’t let me speak in regards to this issue.
I called to see if I could get an exchange because this iron shoe doesn’t fit my current iron, still had the receipt and box in the picture, and my iron was even bought from this store years ago. I’ve bought items from this store for over 18 years, and supported their business. This is not how you treat your own customers who bring you business and put food on your table for your services and goods. The old iron shoe I bought from them was called Magic Glide made in the USA. The one they gave me this time is a alibaba china knockoff. I’d stay far away from them and shop elsewhere if I were you.
