Long time fan, first time visitor. I've always heard of Fabcycle being a staple in Vancouver and I was lucky enough to visit them in person today. My experience was top notch! I was taken on a tour of the fabrics and was shown personal picks from Erin. All the fabrics are beautiful and I am very excited for my projects. Thank you again! I will be back soon 🙂

Love the shop, and the whole building has an awesome, artistic, socially consious vibe to it. It feels like stumbling into a dragon's hoard of fabric, patterns, and notions. Cannot recommend enough! It's old-school East Van. Art, Social Justice, Community. Check out the other offerings in the building, too. There's a library, and gym, and a bunch of gallaries & studios.

I've ordered online twice and I am obsessed with this shop. They have an amazing collection, great service. I love everything they stand for and what they are doing to help eliminate waste. I've told many of my sewing friends! These are 2 of my favorite fabrics from there

Wow, just wow!
I bought super inexpensive zippers from Fabcycle last year and was impressed with those. What compelled me to write this review is that I recently ordered a mystery knit pack for some very cheap price, along with 2 selected pieces of French Terry. I am making hoodies and T shirts this time. Oh goodness, the surprise pack is amazing! It's silky feeling rayon or bamboo lycra, I think, and just such nice quality. Other than not getting to pick the colours (the surprise part) it's the BEST deal since my free sewing machine. ?

My sister and I visited for the first time yesterday and we were blown away by the service we received. We were very upfront: we were there to rifle through their free scraps. They got us chairs and and water. As a special request on my part, one of the staff met us on the ground floor and escorted us upstairs. When there is such a dirth of good service to be had in our society, these ordinary ways of treating people with respect seem absolutely extraordinary. The staff was friendly and informative, the product was excellent and well organized (they do their best considering the frequency that they receive new stock and donations) and I have so much admiration for the work they are doing: keeping usable fabric out of landfills.

This is a FANTASTIC little hidden gem! I’m just learning to sew and wanted fabric to make dog hoodies, Emily was absolutely fantastic at helping me pick out fabric and was so fun to talk to as well. When the staff found out I have a Corgi they were so excited to see pictures and we swapped stories about our pups which was awesome. The prices were insanely cheap and it’s great quality fabric! The staff are amazing and this will be my go to fabric shop from now on!!
